What does heavy bleeding after sex during pregnancy mean?

My boyfriend and I had sex twice last night. After the first time, there was no blood/spotting that I noticed. We did it again maybe an hour later, but this time, I was bleeding heavily (similar to menstrual bleeding). Everything that I have read on says that it's normal if it's just spotting, but what about excessive bleeding? This morning I noticed that there was still blood coming out. I am about a month in. Is there any chance that this could be normal?
